Education & Learning

We have a purpose built education/meeting room here at Oak Tree and welcome schools, community groups and corporates to make use of the facilities.

Education & Learning

Schools

We deliver age-relevant education sessions to school groups which focus on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. We can also tailor sessions to fit with a particular project the school may be focussing on at the time. In order for us to tailor a session according to your specific needs, please allow ample time when booking.

Having a session here at Oak Tree will allow pupils and teachers alike get a real sense of what we do here as a Charity. However, if you would like us to visit you, we are happy to discuss delivering one of our sessions at your school.

We don’t charge for our sessions, instead, we ask that pupils organise a fundraising activity after their visit to help raise awareness and some funds for the animals in our care.

For more information or to book a session, please contact the team on 01228 560082.

Please note our education programme is currently under review. We hope to be offering sessions again in the autumn.

Community Groups

We would love to talk to your community group! We can deliver a general talk about the Charity and what we do here as a whole, including our plans for the future, or we can provide a more specific talk about a particular animal (we deal with dogs, cats and equines) or other topic relevant to what we do as a Charity.
We are very happy to come to your usual meeting place, but we would also encourage you to visit us here at Oak Tree Farm for a tour of our facilities. Our tearoom is open Thursday – Sunday 11.00am to 4.00pm, so why not consider having a tour followed by lunch?

Please call us on 01228 560082 to book a tour or to find out more.

Corporates

Our meeting room is equipped with an interactive white board, seating for 35, small kitchen and is fully linked up to the internet via wifi.

Oak Tree Farm offers a great opportunity to get away from the usual office environment and distractions that often go with that territory. You could hold your meeting and combine it with lunch in our tearoom, or request a buffet lunch to have in the meeting room itself.

If you would like to use the opportunity to volunteer part of your day, we would welcome help with various maintenance jobs around site – a fantastic team building exercise!

We are of course happy to provide a tour and talk about our work here at Oak Tree Farm to fit in and around your visit. Please call the team on 01128 560082 to find out more or to book.
