Opened in 1989 by David Bellamy as place for wildlife conservation and community education, Oak Tree are bringing this area back to life.

It is home to a wide number of wild animal species including:

  • Greater spotted woodpeckers
  • Bats
  • Kestrels

  • Hedgehogs

Open all year round, Blackburn Woods can provide the ideal space to dog walk, relax and enjoy our peaceful woodland habitat. We are always looking for woodland volunteers who can help us manage this amazing space for our community and the wonderful wildlife that lives here.
