Oak Tree Animals Charity has been helping small animals and horses for over 100 hundred years. During that time the care we have shown to animals has not changed. However, as a standalone, self-supporting charity the challenges we face in raising funds to deliver our primary objectives have changed over time.   

To raise funds we now operate charity shops, a highly regarded tea-room, a retail outlet and a small third party commercial property arm. We also recognise the commercial contribution to be achieved through the effective management of online sales and that this is an area which we wish to grow.

We are looking to appoint a new colleague to our team. The post holder will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for designing and delivering our Retail Strategy as well as optimising the strength of the online Market Place for the Charity.

The post holder will be an accomplished team player with the ability to design and deliver bespoke commercial decisions; Able to sell their initial concept through their well-developed communications skills, using both IT presentational skills and a persuasive and compelling use of language via face to face meetings. They must be astute and able to discriminate good ideas from commercially great ideas. A vision on how our online market can be developed is essential.
