Animal Care Assistant

Freya has a particular interest in our cat rehoming programme and has developed a real talent for matching the right cats with the right people. Her understanding of feline behaviour and personalities helps ensure our cats find the best possible homes.

Outside of work, Freya has horses of her own, which has been a great benefit to our team when caring for our resident Shetland ponies. Her equine knowledge and hands-on experience help ensure they receive excellent care and attention.

Freya is also very involved in our on-site education programmes, working alongside our Education Officer to help deliver engaging experiences for visiting groups. She is passionate about animal education and is fantastic with the children who visit us to meet the animals, learn about them, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

In addition to her work with our core animals, Freya also has an interest in exotic species and hopes that one day we may be able to introduce an exotic section to the centre.
