Become a Foster Carer

Support animals fleeing an abusive home and/or homelessness.

You want to become a foster carer? Fantastic!

Our dedicated team of volunteers and foster carers play a huge role in the work that we do here at Oak Tree and without their invaluable support, our “A Helping Paw” scheme would not be what it is today.

Whilst the animals in need of being fostered through “A Helping Paw” are usually dogs and cats, the scheme is open to all species of pets providing we have a suitable foster home awaiting them.

Full training, support, and advice will always be available from our team and any behavioural, medical and food costs are all covered by Oak Tree.

Placements can last for up to 6 months and we ask that foster carers have access to their own vehicle and be over the age of 18 years.

For further information please contact our community team on 01228 560082 extension 230/228 | community@oaktreeanimals.org.uk

Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of this scheme and for the safety of all involved, the details of owners, foster carers and locations are to remain confidential at all times.
