Fundraiser Skin Pro V Organised by Skin Pro V Forever - Fundraiser

After a fantastic evening at the Shepherds Inn for Let’s Connect Cumbria I was inspired by my friend to give something back to the community. So, for my 12 days of Christmas I’m going to launch a charity event for the 12 days and give my profit from aloe lips and the hand sanitizers to a local charity. I would like as many people to jump on board and order as many as you can possibly afford for a very deserving charity - Oak Tree Animals' Charity. This will start on December the 1st so please share this post with everyone you know. I would like to raise £100+ if possible. Thank you in advance for your support! For our little fury friends this Christmas xxx

Ellen Valley Riding ClubOrganised by Ellen Valley Riding Club

We have chosen Oak Tree as our charity of the year. To support this local cause, we are organising several events to raise much needed funds. One of our biggest fundraisers will be our Open Showing Show which is taking place on 23rd September at Newton Rigg Equestrian Centre. For more details of this, and other events, keep an eye on Oak Tree's 'Latest News'

Team Jordan York Marathon 2018Organised by Team Jordan York Marathon 2018

Team Jordan have a lot of training to do over the next few months! The collective 'we' have decided to run the York Marathon in October this year to raise money for Oak Tree Animal Charity. Oak Tree is very close to our hearts and is a very worthy cause, needing lots of support. Given the amount of hard work staff continue to put into helping our much beloved four legged friends, we thought it only fair we also put in some hard training and rise to the challenge of running a marathon. Lisa ran the London marathon 10 years ago, but was much more agile and younger back then, now in her (cough.. 40s), she wants to see if she can still run such a distance, and possibly gain a PB. David has never run a marathon, only shorter distances with the longest being 10 miles some 15 years ago, so this is going to be a challange for the both of us.

Wainwright Challenge in aid of 3 local charities Organised by Graham Lewis

In 2018 I aim to complete all the Wainwrights (the hills from the Lakeland Fells guide by Alfred Wainwright) within the calendar year. There are 214 tops so it will mean a decent amount of uphill! Some people complete them every year, some people never go up a single one, but this is a challenge for me, I'm not the quickest and some days I really struggle to get motivated to get out as work can take over. I have a full time job including working 1 in 4 weekends on call so I will have to have some weekends away from the fells. When I am out though I love it (as does my dog Clova) and the views are to die for. I would like to raise some money for charity whilst doing this and I hope some people reading this will be kind enough to donate. The charities I am supporting are Animal Concern Cumbria, Oak Tree Animals' Charity and Mountain Rescue for Cumbria. The two animal charities are charities I work with on a regular basis and I feel both try their best to care for the unwanted animals of Cumbria. I wish they weren't needed but sadly they are. The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue teams do a fantastic job of making a very dangerous environment a bit safer for those of us that love the outdoors.
