Lola (black and white) and Maddy (black) are a very sweet pair of older ladies (11) that are looking for a peaceful home with outdoor access. They would prefer not to be left alone for long periods of time.

They are both affectionate and enjoy a fuss though Lola is definitely the cuddlier of the two and is a constant purr machine!

These lovely ladies could live with children and potentially even a calm, friendly dog that is used to cats.

These two ladies spent a few weeks in a foster home to give them some well deserved TLC while they wait for their forever home. This is what the foster parents have to say about them:

Lola is very playful and cuddly. She is up onto your lap the second you sit down. Lola’s favourite toy at the moment is a pellet from the litter tray. She’ll spend ages flicking it into the air, and trying to do sneak attacks.  Lola goes absolutely nuts for cat nip, so any cat nip toy is a win.

Maddy is still more independent, but she never misses her bedtime snuggles. Every evening both Lola and Maddy come and meow at us when it’s time for cuddles in bed, they’ve very quickly developed a routine. Maddy is a nutter in the afternoons, runs around the house like she’s a kitten, and often gets Lola involved too. Maddy likes to keep an eye on Lola, she is usually supervising from a distance.

The girls are really adorable together. They regularly lick each others heads and snuggle up together. If one meows the other comes running to check out the situation, and if one purrs the other will start. Meal times are funny, they like to play musical bowls and swap every 20 seconds.

On a more practical note - both cats are clearly very well house trained, no accidents or mess outside of the litter trays (other than Lola’s play pellet). All food remains in bowls whilst eating too, no dragging it out on the floor. We have a had a couple of people visit, and the girls go straight up to them for fuss without any hesitation. There haven’t been any escape attempts and they’ve never woken us up - even with full access to our bedroom.

Please get in touch if you can give these lovely ladies the home they deserve.

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our cats looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
