  • Will need house training
  • Owner around much of the time, as not used to being left in a home alone
  • Has medical condition

Say hello to our gentle boy, Eli. He is a Trailhound aged 7 years. Eli sadly came in for rehoming due to his owners ill health.

Eli has always been a pet rather than a racing Trailhound, but he has never lived in a house, so he will need owners who are happy to house train him. He is a lovely and friendly boy.

Eli has a medical condition which he is likely to need medication for, from time to time. We are happy to discuss this with potential adopters. He is a gentle but lively boy who will be a very affectionate companion. He has not lived with cats or children, but would be fine with older children. He did meet one of our outdoor cats and did not react to it so is potentially cat workable. Eli will need to learn about being left alone in a home so will need someone around much of the time initially. He has enjoyed chilling out in our office occasionally, so would be a good candidate as an office boy, going to work with his owner!

If you are interested in Eli, please email us in the first instance and tell us a bit about yourself. We can then ring you for an initial chat. PLEASE INCLUDE A PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL  smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk

Eli came in with another dog called Jack, who is also on our website. If we had a perfect home for the pair of them then that would be wonderful but they do have slightly different needs so we are also looking at homing them separately. Eli's ability to be homed with other dogs is under assessment but he generally appears to respond well to other dogs.

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
