More about Me
Jackson is a very large, and very lovely lad who would make a wonderful companion.
He gets too excited around children so would be best suited to an adult only home or one with older teenagers (16+).
As an older boy he is not looking for lots of long walks but would like a nice secure garden for playing and someone who can take him on frequent short walks.
He is very affectionate and likes to show it! He is not a dog for anyone afraid of slobbery kisses!
He hasn't lived with other dogs before but appears to be friendly if a bit cautious so has the potential to live with a chilled out dog. He seems to be indifferent and/or scared when he sees cats so could probably live with a confident kitty.
This gentle giant generally walks well on the lead but does like to take the occasional pit stop! Usually throwing a few treats is enough to get him moving again.
Due to his big boned frame he would prefer a home where he doesn't have to go up and down many stairs.
WE HAVE MORE DOGS IN NEED
On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
