Description

PLEASE READ ALL OF MILA’S INFORMATION TO ENSURE YOU CAN MEET HER REHOMING NEEDS.

Unfortunately due to lockdown we are currently unable to do any viewings. As Mila will require multiple visits she will not be able to be rehomed until restrictions are eased but we are happy to take enquiries in the meantime.

Mila is looking for her furever home.

She can be obsessive with toys and balls, this caused issues in her previous home. She is learning that people being around her does not mean toys and balls are taken away. As a result she’s starting to trust us and can now willingly give up a ball in her kennel space without being asked.

Since being with us Mila has shown us that she’s a girl who likes company, is affectionate and loves to chase a ball!

Mila will need her new home to have plenty of space with a secure garden. It must also be adult only, and pet free so Mila can get all the attention she deserves.

Her new owners will need to have time to spend keeping Mila physically exercised and mentally stimulated. With time and training she has the potential to thrive with scentwork, mantrailing or tracking type activities.

Mila will need a home with experienced owners, who understand dog body language and are used to working with dogs with challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement techniques. On-going help and support is available through the Small Animal Team and our on-site Training and Behaviour Consultant.

WE HAVE MORE DOGS IN NEED

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
