ADCH - working together to improve animal welfare

22nd February 2019

We are extremely proud to be full members of ADCH (the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes), animal welfare charities across the UK who meet the welfare standards of membership and come together regularly to work to improve dog and cat welfare in our regions and nationally. We had a great meeting in Bristol, hosted by Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary, where we discussed UK welfare legislation updates, importation of dogs and cats and the potential impact of Brexit on animal welfare charities like ours. Without question these are challenging times for any charity but also present opportunities to review what we do, why we do it and ensure that we are best meeting the needs of the community we serve. As always it was great to catch up with colleagues from Battersea, Wood Green, Dogs Trust, Cats Protection, Petplan, Rain Rescue, Raystede, Blue Cross, Yorkshire Cat Rescue, Pawprints and GSPCA to name just a few of the wonderful organisations who make up our ADCH family.
