Community Engagement Officer

Thank you for your interest in working for the Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.

Closing Date: 1st February

Oak Tree Animals' Charity has an exciting new opportunity for an animal welfare professional.  We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our successful and pro-active Community Team. The role is very much public facing, developing and delivering our high-quality community support program.  This includes, but is not limited to, the trap-neuter-return of feral cats, supporting our community with practical animal welfare issues,  promoting various campaigns including participating in outreach and fundraising activities and in social media and educational publications.  Reporting to the Community Team Leader, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a sound evidence-based approach to animal welfare with hands on practical experience. This post demands excellent inter-personal and team skills and an ability to engage compassionately and non-judgementally with members of the public.  A minimum Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, Animal Welfare or Animal Behaviour is essential.  You will need to be physically fit, prepared to work anti-social hours and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.   A full clean manual driving licence is essential.  A detailed job description is available on request.
