Oak Tree Animals’ Charity is the largest independent animal welfare charity in Cumbria and Southern Scotland. The Charity provides homing services, practical animal welfare solutions and increasingly, through our Community Department, education and fostering services.
The post may be home-based and is offered on a flexible basis over 24 hours. Working as a part of our Fundraising Team, the post holder will be responsible for assisting to generate the Charity’s income via charitable trusts and grant issuing foundations. They will also develop our already close relations with local councils and organisations where financial support is synergistic to our community action plans.
The post holder will have strong communication skills to facilitate the communication of the work and objectives of the Charity to external audiences. It is essential that the post holder has excellent and flexible research skills to effectively investigate philanthropic organisations whose objectives match the Charity’s.
Well-developed interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a highly motivated team. You must equally be self-motivated and able to meet challenging deadlines.
