Oak Tree Animal’s Charity is seeking to recruit an Equine Caseworker/Rehomer. You will be part of a small but dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day care of on-site equines and field animals. In addition to everyday yard duties, you will assist in the training and development of our horses and ponies with a view to preparing them for their new homes. You will have experience in dealing with, training and riding young and/or nervous horses and will promote evidence-based, ethical training and handling methods. As a Rehomer you will have responsibility for advertising, promoting and, ultimately, matching horses and ponies with prospective new guardians. As such you will need to be competent in managing the expectations of members of the public and dealing with conflict. Experience of working within a welfare or charitable organisation is desirable as is a qualification in an equine-related field. A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential.
