Why Sponsor An Animal?

Most of the animals we care for find a happy future away from Oak Tree, but occasionally we come across an individual who, through no fault of their own, finds themselves remaining in our care for a long time. This may be for a variety of reasons, be it due to health, or particular behaviour issues. Whatever the reason, the welfare of every animal our charity cares for is our priority.

Your contributions to our sponsorship scheme will go towards food, veterinary bills, enrichment and bedding for the animals in the sponsorship scheme. It will also go towards costs associated with accommodation and care such as repairs, heating and water.

By joining our sponsorship scheme, you can play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our permanent residents.

The Donkey Den

The Donkey Den

The Donkey Den is the home of Charlie, Pringle, Zak and Margo. They were brought to Oak Tree by the Donkey Sanctuary in 2021. The Donkey Den has a very important role to play here at Oak Tree. It keeps our lovely donkeys out of the rain, which is vital to their welfare because donkeys don’t have waterproof coats. It also provides shelter from the cold and is another place for them to play with their favourite toys and enjoy the different sources of enrichment provided by their carers.
