Liz

Volunteering Co Ordinator

Liz is our Volunteer Coordinator and an incredibly valued member of the Oak Tree team. She originally joined us as a fundraiser before moving into her current role, where she now supports and works closely with our amazing volunteer community.

Liz is a wonderful, reliable person who always goes the extra mile to help both volunteers and visitors. She plays a vital role in bringing new volunteers into the organisation, helping to train them and supporting them every step of the way so they feel confident and valued in their roles.

As well as coordinating our regular volunteers, Liz also organises our corporate volunteer groups, whose support is incredibly important for helping us complete many on-site projects and improvements around the centre.

A true animal lover, Liz and her family adopted Woody, a pocket bully, from Oak Tree in 2025. Woody is well known around the site and often pops in to say hello. Liz is also a dedicated puppy foster carer and is frequently seen with puppies of all different breeds. Her children also lend a helping hand, spending time with the puppies to help socialise them and build their confidence.

Liz is a huge part of the Oak Tree team, and her dedication, kindness, and passion for both animals and people make a real difference every day.
