Lucy
Behaviour and Training Coordinator
Lucy is our Behaviour and Training Coordinator and brings over 25 years of experience working with dogs. She is deeply passionate about dog welfare and dedicated to helping people better understand their dogs through kind, effective training methods.
Lucy specialises in positive reinforcement training and behaviour work, supporting some of the trickier dogs that come into our care. Her calm, kind, and caring approach helps many of our more nervous or challenging dogs build confidence and develop the skills they need to thrive.
She has studied extensively and holds, among other animal-based qualifications, a HNC in Canine Behaviour and Training. Lucy is committed to continuing education and always strives to use the most welfare-focused and up-to-date training techniques.
Alongside her work with the rescue dogs, Lucy also runs our on-site training classes for members of the public, welcoming everyone from puppy owners to more advanced handlers. She also runs popular Hoopers classes, helping owners and dogs build strong partnerships while having fun.
At home, Lucy has four dogs of her own, including a lively 15-month-old Belgian Shepherd who makes sure any spare time is spent walking, training, and enjoying the outdoors together!
