Training & Behaviour Assistant

Vicki is our Training and Behaviour Assistant and a hugely valued member of the team. Vicki began her journey in animal rescue at another rescue, where she started volunteering from an early age. It was there that she discovered her passion for rescue work. After 11 years gaining experience and developing her skills, she joined us here at Oak Tree, where she has become a fantastic asset to the team.

Over the years, Vicki has developed a particular interest in dog training and behaviour.  Working with such a wide variety of dogs has helped her grow in confidence and knowledge, and she brings patience, understanding, and enthusiasm to every dog she works with.

Kind, enthusiastic, and always ready to get stuck in, Vicki supports many areas of the training and behaviour team. Whether she is working with our dogs to prepare them for rehoming, supporting owners whose dogs need training guidance, or running on-site training classes alongside Lucy, she always approaches her work with positivity and dedication.

Outside of work, Vicki spends much of her spare time with her own dog, Reef, an 18-month-old German Shepherd cross. The two love going on long walks together, and they are currently attending classes and training in competitive obedience—which Reef absolutely loves!
