Equine DIY Enrichment Day (12 to 15 year olds)

Get hands on with some DIY equine enrichment activities!

This experience day is suitable for people aged 12 to 15 years old.

Enjoy learning all about the benefits of enrichment for equines. Identify safe plants vs dangerous plants, design and create an enrichment activity and watch your chosen animal enjoy it!

You will be identifying and sourcing plants in the woods and understanding which plants make good treats for different animals. You will also learn how to create an enrichment activity for an animal, which fulfils their species-specific needs.

Requirements:

• It is important to arrive 10 minutes before the event is due to start to ensure the event can begin on time.
• Please bring weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes / wellies and a packed lunch.
• Parents / guardians are advised to remain on site or close by throughout the duration of the day. They are welcome make use of our wonderful site and Tearoom (open 10.00am to 4.00pm).
