Introduction to Hoopers Workshop

Mon, 1st December 2025 (10.00am - 12.00pm)

Introduction to Hoopers workshop is a 2 hour workshop where we will introduce you to the sport of Hoopers. Similar to agility, Hoopers involves teaching the handler to guide their dog round a course of hoops as well as learning to negotiate tunnels and barrels within the course.

Unlike agility, hoopers is designed to be low impact as the dog does not jump or scale any equipment. There are also no tight turns on the course. This makes the sport suitable for most ages and breeds. It is a sport designed to be fun for both dog and handler.

Our Behaviour and Training team have both completed and passed the BK9 Hoopers  instructors course.

Although hoopers is low impact, dogs with conditions such as breathing or joint issues may still struggle and will need to be given the all clear to take part by their vet.

Reactive dogs may struggle with the class environment so we offer 1-1 sessions for dogs struggling with reactivity.

We will have a break for tea/coffee during the workshop.
