David Humes Fundraiser

In May 2023 at the University of Cumbria, we lost a dear friend and former colleague Daniel Humes. Daniel worked in Student Services as part of the Fusehill Street Reception Team. 

We decided we would like to do something special for Daniel, so we organised a raffle in his memory with all proceeds going to his favourite charity, Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.

A magnificent handmade crocheted Star Wars blanket was donated to us in memory of Daniel, who loved science fiction. The blanket measures approximately 2.7m x 1.7m and took two months to make, using 33 balls of yarn.

We are happy to say we raised £353 from the raffle and donations!
