Van Drivers
This volunteer role is to provide vital support to our team, helping with the collection and delivery of stock and donations for our Cumbrian charity shops.
Our shops
Please tell us which shop you would like to volunteer at in your application form...
Tasks include:
- Helping load and unload goods i.e. manual handling/lifting
- Driving our van to our Charity Shops in Maryport, Keswick, Carlisle and other areas
- Occasional collection of donations from donators homes
What attributes are we looking for?
- Strong interest in animal welfare, along with an understanding of animals within the rescue environment
- Ability to follow instruction
- Good verbal communication skills
- Reasonably fit and active
- Happy to work alone and with the team
- Enjoys driving
- Confident in driving our vans
- Must have a full driving license
- Must be over 25 years old
- Own transport is beneficial due to our location – we are currently not in a position to offer transport
Full training will be given for this role as well as full ongoing support
