Julie Hansell

Trustee

I moved to Cumbria in 2007 having transferred to the area through work.  I'm originally from Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

I have lived in Cumbria ever since sharing my home with my husband, daughter, Ted the dog and guinea pigs!  We also have a small flock of Shetland sheep with an  eclectic collection of names and characters!

We run a small glamping site from our home in Newtown, 2 miles from Brampton situated along Hadrian's Wall. I'm also a qualified Solicitor and have been practising Criminal Law for the past 20 years.

I'm really excited to join Oak Trees' board of trustees and look forward to using some of the skills I have acquired throughout my legal career and business partnership.

Oak Tree Charity provides a fundamental service for the welfare of animals.  In addition the charity's community engagement goes from strength to strength.  It is very clear to see that the organisation grows momentum each year as it moves forward. The dedication shown by Staff and Volunteers is exceptional and it's my pleasure to be a part of this wonderful organisation.
