Schools

Oak Tree Animals’ Charity are excited to have a Community Education Officer, Nicky, ready and waiting to come and talk to you!

If you are a teacher and are looking for someone to run a workshop on responsible pet ownership, safety around dogs, ethics of the use of animals in our society, the costs of pet ownership or other animal welfare topic, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We don't charge for sessions, instead, we ask that pupils organise a fundraising activity before or after their visit to help raise awareness and some funds for the animals in our care. If you would like us to visit you, we are happy to discuss delivering one of our sessions at your school. Due to demand, in-school visits need to be within a 40 minute radius of our centre.  We offer fun, interactive sessions which can be tailored to fit your specific requirements. We also specialise in running out of mainstream education sessions, please get in touch for bespoke programmes to suit your group's needs.

If you would like to bring a school group to Oak Tree Farm, please get in touch on the email address below to request a teachers' pack for a self-guided visit. You can also request to book out Education room, which is available for hire by the hour, and has presentation facilities, as well as somewhere to have a packed lunch. Having a session here at Oak Tree will allow pupils and teachers to get a real sense of what we do here as a Charity.

To arrange a workshop or visit please email community@oaktreeanimals.org.uk or telephone 01228 560082.

Below we have free to download teaching resources. We'd love to hear your feedback on these, contact us on community@oaktreeanimals.org.uk or call Nicky on 01228 560082 to let us know!
