Description

Thyme came in with a number of other cats from the same home where he had little human contact. He is 9 months old. At the moment he is very wary of human contact so we are very slowly building up a relationship with him. He is starting to show more trust but it is a slow process.

We would be looking for a quiet home with someone who will be happy to take their time getting him used to them and their environment. Thyme will be looking for an adult home, possibly with another cat.

Thyme may always be shy of contact so we cannot say that he will be a playful or overly affectionate. We hope he will come round as he is a lovely boy.

Initially he would need to stay safely indoors until he completely 100% used to his adopter. We believe he has been an indoor only cat but may in time like some outdoor access.

CATIOS. Have you considered getting a cat but are worried about them getting lost or injured on roads? Have you ever heard of Catio's? They provide an outdoor space, normally attached to your house, so that your cat can have safe outdoor time. They can be as simple or elaborate as your budget allows. Just Google CATIOS for more information. Or check out our partner ProtectaPet at www.protectapet.com for cat fence barriers, enclosures and catios.   Use the promo code OAKTREE for a discount for you and a donation to Oak Tree.

WE HAVE MORE CATS IN NEED

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our cats looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
