Alf

It was an “I’ll just have a look” visit to Oak Tree Farm 10 years ago that led to Alf The Cat coming home with us. He was a Norwegian Forest cat of around 6 or 7, and not in the best of moods having just been neutered. He also had a terrible flatulence problem – stick him under your arm and you could play him like bagpipes! But once he settled in (and his tummy issues sorted) we knew we had a gem. More dog than cat in his view on life, it was Alf that would react possessively when the door was knocked while the dog slept on, he’d come to a whistle and would eat literally anything. Had to take him to the vet once as he broke into the fridge, ate a slice of Victoria sponge and a ½ pound of Roquefort cheese. Our business Keswick Climbing Wall is just next to our home and he soon found his way there, especially when the café was open. A regular visitor even on busy days, he was fed, petted and cuddle by hundreds of our customers, some even requested him to be there when they booked and he even has TripAdvisor reviews! He had the best life and we are richer for having known him. It was a privilege to have been able to spend the last 10 years with Alf and we will truly and sorely miss him.
