Oak Tree Animals’ Charity helps over 1700 local animals in 2018

11th February 2019

Thanks to the support of the local community, we were able to help over 1,700 local animals in 2018 – more than double the amount cared for the previous year.

Caroline Johnson, General Manager at Oak Tree said “We are delighted to have been able to support over 1,700 local animals in need and their owners in 2018. We take a proactive approach to animal welfare and are able to not only rehome animals who are unwanted, but also provide education, support and practical animal welfare solutions to help keep pets in loving homes and prevent both animal and owner suffering when relationships break down or other circumstances change”.

“In 2019, we will continue to try to best serve the community through a diverse work programme including animal rehoming, neutering, feral cat colony management and working with vulnerable pet owners in our region."

Caroline added “We would like to thank our community for all of the amazing support given to us in 2018 through donations, volunteering, supporting events and visiting our fantastic site. We are only able to provide services to animals and owners in our region who need us because of your generosity. Thank you.”

Oak Tree is celebrating its 110th Anniversary this year – keep an eye on our website and social media pages for further information and ways you can get involved with us!
