Second Hand Pet Equipment Sale

On a very wet August Sunday, Julie our Community Team officer and Angel, our Volunteer Co-ordinator held a Second-hand Pet Equipment Sale in Carlisle.

Items on offer included dog harnesses, leads, dog beds, cat carries and so on.

Due to the typical Cumbrian weather, the team was unsure if many people would turn up in such stormy conditions but they were pleasantly surprised when pet owners arrived in their masses to find a bargain.

By 1:00pm, we had almost sold out! A great turn out indeed.

Angel and Julie couldn’t have managed without the fantastic help of volunteers Barbara, Pete and Jill.

The team were also thrilled to see many supporters of Oak Tree at the sale along with dogs which had been adopted by Oak Tree.

Julie and Angel said it was lovely to chat to so many people and to offer pet related support and advice.

 

A total of £550 was made on the day which will go towards helping animals in need.

Our next Second Hand Pet Equipment Sale will be held on Sunday 27th September 2020 in the car park opposite Carlisle Youth Zone.
