Education in the Community
17th May 2021
Education is key in preventing future problems with animal welfare, and is a big part of our Community Team’s role at Oak Tree.
We’re so thrilled to finally be able to get back into schools in person, often with a dog too, and the kids have been loving the sessions! Just in the last week, our Education Officer, Nicky, has been to Ullswater Community College working with their Animal Care BTEC group, as well as their SEN English group; Rockcliffe School who we are working with on a long term project to educate about using enrichment for pets following the pandemic; and Keswick School who are also working towards a project to educate their local community on animal welfare.
If you have a school or community group wanting a session, please get in touch by emailing community@oaktreeanimals.org.uk
