Frodo's Great Adventure
24th September 2018
Last weekend our gorgeous Frodo competed at Ellen Valley RC Showing Show at Newton Rigg. This was Frodo’s first trip out since being with us at Oak Tree and he has more than impressed the whole team!
He responded well to everything he was faced with on his day out including all the other horses being around and travelling in the trailer.
Frodo enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror for the first time, and he took the opportunity to check his grooms hadn’t missed a spot before his class! Little bothered him when in the show ring and he seemed to enjoy showing off his flowing mane and tail; he stood beautifully for the judge just like he has been practicing for the last few weeks.
Frodo achieved a lot at the show including a 3rd and 5th rosette along with being made Reserve Champion out of the rescue horses/ponies and being crowned with a gorgeous purple sash and a trophy. Frodo didn’t only achieve physical awards he has also made a huge leap in his education and he has proved he is a quick learner and can adapt to new situations quickly, a fabulous trait to add to his already amazing personality!
A huge well done to Frodo for such a successful first outing; and a massive thank you to Ellen Valley RC for a great show with a lovely, friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all participants involved.
