Costs of Pet Ownership

Having a pet can be expensive. Costs are something to consider carefully before getting an animal.

Have you thought about the lifetime costs of the animal and how long they may live? Most people underestimate the costs of a cat or dog. Research shows that the actual average costs of a dog are over £16,000, but most people estimate just £1000-£5000 (statista.com).
