** PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW. JESSIE IS STILL UNDER ASSESSMENT. WE ARE CURRENTLY FOLLOWING UP WITH SOME POTENTIAL ADOPTERS**

Meet our lovely little Jessie, who is just over 9 years old. She is an adorable and affectionate Shih-tzu x Australian Terrier. Jessie would love a very special person to share their sofa with, so read all about her to see if she is the girl for you.

Jessie is just over 9 years young, but she still has a spring in her step. She enjoys her walks but due to some mobility issues, she needs regular gentle exercise, rather than long hikes. She would suit an an active outgoing couple who are happy to take her out exploring places, but without a very long walk involved. She travels happily in a car.

Jessie is a happy and friendly girl who generally gets on with dogs that she meets but she can tell some off with a few woofs in their direction! We feel Jessie will benefit from being the only pet in the home (more cuddles!). She has not previously lived with children so we are looking for an adult only home, although occasional visiting children (under supervision) would be fine. 

Jessie loves having attention and often spends a morning in one of our offices, so she would be a great candidate to go to work with someone. Otherwise, we would prefer her to have owners who are largely at home.

Jessie is non shedding so will need regular trips to the groomers to be trimmed.

As a lady of a certain age, she can struggle to 'hold' all night, so sometimes may have a little accident on the floor. A home that is able to cope with this and manage it, is essential. We are happy to offer help and suggestions for this.

Jessie has one or two medical issues which we will discuss with potential adopters.· JESSIE WILL NOT GET MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR HER VET COSTS IN RELATION TO PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS SO AN ADOPTER SHOULD FACTOR IN THE REGULAR COSTS OF TREATMENT THAT JESSIE MAY REQUIRE.

HOMING CRITERIA

• Adult home with no other pets
• Adopters who are happy to spend quality time with Jessie, but regular shorter walks rather than long hikes
• Adopters happy to manage some toileting issues
• Adopters who are in a position to cover medical costs if and when necessary
