Description
Ellie is our lovely Pottock X, chestnut mare, she is 16 years old and stands at 14hh.
Ellie has a mellow nature; she loves getting groomed and spending her time out in our paddocks. After a well-deserved winter holiday Ellie is now back on main site. Head down to our stable yard to say hello!
Ellie is good to catch and lead, she enjoys being groomed and stands well for the farrier and vet.
Ellie can be unsure of loading and previously has become stressed when it comes to travelling. Like Fleur, we are using positive reinforcement training to help build her confidence. Ellie could be walked to her new home if it was local to Oak Tree.
Ellie and Fleur have been together for quite some time, forming a strong friendship. They support each other when one is feeling unsure. It would be distressing to separate them. Therefore, we would like to rehome them as a pair. They have great potential as a companion pair for someone who has land they can roam or someone who has a ridden horse that needs companionship.

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our horses and ponies looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
