Meet lovely Jess, a 9 year old American Bulldog. Jess came in with Rocko (see his separate profile) - we would potentially home them together to the right home but we are also looking at separate homes for them too.
Jess is housetrained and can be left for periods up to 3 hours. She loves to chill out in our office and loves a cuddle on the sofa.
Jess has lived happily around children although we are looking for an adult home or one with older children. Jess potentially could live with another dog so long as introductions go well here.
As an older lady, Jess will be best suited to a slightly more sedate lifestyle. She enjoys her walks and generally walks nicely on a lead. She can get quite strong at times, especially if she sees other animals. She would suit people with a spacious garden to snooze in, and short but regular walks

18/05/2022 UPDATE FROM FOSTERERS: Jess has been an absolute star and with fostering her for a while now, she's so settled and we can really see her true personality, which is lovely! She is very very happy and content in the house, workshop, garden and allotment. She loves to watch us pottering around and just loves being involved. She's cuddly and will happily go with the flow.
We've just finished converting our van into a camper van and on Saturday we tested it out. We went to our nearest honeypot spot (about 20/30 mins north) and Jess joined us. She absolutely loved camping out with us. She behaved really well and when another dog was with their owner on their patch she enjoyed lying on her rug and watching them. Bedtime was a squeeze but she loved it!
12/04/2022 Jess has gone to stay with one of our super fosterers. It gives us a much better insight about how Jess behaves in a home.....and the great news is SHE IS A STAR GUEST! We have had so much positive feedback that we can share with potential adopters. She loves her walks, loves lounging in the garden, happy in the house. Happy to snooze while her fosterers are busy working on their allotment. What more could you want? Do get in touch if you would like to know more about Jess. Check out all the photos of Jess enjoying her life.

WE HAVE MORE DOGS IN NEED
On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
