Homing Criteria
We still have two Akita pups looking for homes individually, where they could live with children over the age of six, other dogs and potentially dog savvy cats who have lived with a dog before. As they are only 8 weeks old they will need all their basic training putting into place and someone at home for most of the day to work on house training, leaving hours and socialisation.
They were born here on site at Oak Tree after their mum Matilda came to us heavily pregnant, who is a white Akita. They are a lively bunch and will grow into big adult dogs so will need their new families to be happy with this. WE HAVE MORE DOGS IN NEED
On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
