Meet playful Josh he loves keeping busy and learning new things. Josh is a very interactive dog who loves to learn new things with his handlers. He is having great fun going round our agility and hoopers courses. (see Josh in action in the Instagram links further down). He is now starting to do mantrailing which involves sniffing out a hidden person who has a tasty reward for him. He has an active and enquiring mind so needs to keep occupied, but he loves to learn.

Josh loves exploring new places and also enjoys spending time in the Small Animal Team office, overseeing what we do!

Josh would love an understanding home with people who will enjoy spending time training him. A secure garden to allow him to be safely off lead is also desirable. Josh is very loveable towards his carers and enjoys attention. He can be uncertain of new people initially but soon comes round if you have a tasty biscuit! Josh can be a strong boy on his lead but generally walks well.

Josh will be looking for a home with no other pets. We have been introducing him slowly to other dogs which he has enjoyed walking out with. He would love a home with lots of interaction as he is very sociable with his humans once he gets to know them. If you would like to have a chat about Josh, then do get in touch for more information.

On average, we have 400 animals come into our shelter every year. Please take a look at some of our dogs looking for loving homes and see if you can find a friend for life. Where appropriate, all of our animals are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. We also give each animal a behavioural assessment to identify their needs and help you find your perfect companion.
